Freja has chicken pox.
So, now it is Freja's turn for chicken pox. They first showed up last Saturday and 5 days later are starting to clear up. I haven't seen any new spots develop yesterday or today so hopefully she is over them now!
I am sorta hoping that Vidar will get them from her and that his spots will show up next week. He fortunately didn't get the swine flu that went around his school the past few weeks.

We went to see Nightingale, one of our all time favorite bands. The children had a blast! Amadeus even took a nap. We also went bowling. The weather was so lovely that we've been outside a bunch to play in the sun!
Amadeus' one year check up
Amadeus is a year old and two weeks. He weighs 9.8 kg (21.5 lbs) and is 77 cm (2 ft 6 inches, or 30 inches) long. He also seems to have chicken pox. Poor guy. Everything looks great other than the chicken pox. He also got 4 molars last month and is getting his incisors this month 2 on the upper jaw, just the 2 on the lower jaw to go and they look ready to pop through the gums any time now. That leaves him with just 4 molars left to get and he will have a mouth with 20 teeth. Fast lil bugger when it comes to those teeth!
He is such a delight still. He's been crying a lot lately but I think it is due to the chicken pox itchiness. His sense of humor is really starting to come through. He is fast learning how to interact with his big sister and his big brother.

This is when he was just getting how to balance and take steps. Crawling was much faster and easier, So he often would do that.

Vidar is learning skills
Yesterday Vidar helped me make applesauce by cutting up apple wedges into smaller pieces all by himself with a sharp knife. My little guy is growing up. *dramatic sniffle* 
He was very proud of himself and talked about it off and on throughout the day and before falling asleep last night. Today we will be making muffins with the applesauce.

Spring is in the aiiiir!
So Magne Amadeus is soon 9 months old! He has 8 little teeth. He is still an always happy little guy and adores his older siblings. Vidar absolutely loves him and Freyja and tries his best to help them both out and play with them etc. Amadeus had been scooting forward since 4 months old and around 7.5 months he started actually crawling teh right way - up on all fours and a couple weeks after that he started pulling himself up to standing. Now he is cruising around the furniture, hanging onto it for support while he walks around it. He's also let go without knowing and stayed up for a couple seconds before grabbing the furniture again. He enjoys banging silverware on bowls and pots and pans.
Vidar and Freyja just had a haircut today. They've started showing interest in climbing trees. We bought a play crossbow with suction cups on the arrows for Vidar and he loves shooting at the target. Of course, Freyja has to do it as well. :D
Mika has been enjoying his paternity leave and seems to really appreciate getting to know the children better and caring for them while I am away for up to 5 hours for going to physical therapy & back. I am making progress with physical therapy, but still have at least 6 weeks left.
